Housing tenants facing eviction
A list of council tenants in Angus are facing eviction after failing to pay rent totalling more than £10,000.

The local authority said it had made considerable efforts to offer assistance and advice on the nine cases and had to consider serious sanctions.

Angus Council would be required to provide temporary accommodation under law if any tenants it evicted presented themselves as homeless.

The authority said the residents concerned had been kept fully informed.

Meanwhile, it has been estimated that Angus council home sales under right to buy legislation could total about £4.1m for the year - some £300,000 below the original budget.
