Men in court after canal incident
Two men have been charged with attempted murder in connection with an incident at the Forth and Clyde Canal.

William Brown, 32, and James Baker, 30, appeared in private at Falkirk Sheriff Court following the alleged incident on Tuesday.

They have been accused of assaulting James McNaughton near Fratellis Restaurant in Bainsford.

The two men from Falkirk and Bonnybridge made no plea or declaration and were remanded in custody.
