A white pelican which appeared in the Tay Estuary, hundreds of miles from its natural habitat, has moved even further north, it has emerged.
Experts have asked the public to report further sightings
Scottish SPCA inspectors said they will continue to monitor the bird, which was last spotted near Blairgowrie.
Percy the Pelican caused a stir when it was spotted swimming with a flotilla of swans off a beach at Monifieth, near Dundee.
The white pelican is native to Africa and Southern Europe.
The Scottish SPCA, which said it hoped the pelican would soon decide to migrate to Africa, earlier abandoned a plan to try and catch it after establishing it was a wild bird.
However, the animal welfare organisation said it wanted members of the public to keep reporting sightings so that action could be taken if Percy became distressed or unable to feed.
