Officers launch police dog search
A public appeal to find police dogs of the future has been launched by the Central Scotland force.

Officers said they wanted two cocker spaniels or springer spaniels to become specialised crime fighters.

The force's dog handling unit has launched an appeal for male or female dogs between eight and 16 months old as part of its breeding programme.

It currently has nine fully-trained German shepherds as well as two springer spaniels.
