Heritage postal scam highlighted
Trading standards officers have warned that Scottish householders are being targeted in a postal scam.

Angus Council said it involved members of the public receiving fake letters telling them they had been nominated for a heritage award.

The correspondence then asks them to send a £24 "administration fee" to an address in Bedford.

The council said that genuine windfalls would not require the payment of an administration fee.
