'Great outdoors' plan for tourism

A new agreement to promote Perthshire as an international tourist destination has been established.

The move involving Perth and Kinross Council and tourism body VisitScotland aims to focus on the area's outdoor activities market.

This includes golf, fishing, walking and adventure sports.

Council enterprise convener Alan Livingstone said of the new agreement: "Tourism is a key economic driver for the area."
