Scots actor Ian Richardson has been presented with an honorary degree from Stirling University.

The honour was presented by the university's chancellor, actress Dame Diana Rigg.

More than 1,100 students are expected to graduate from Stirling University during the summer.

A total of eight people are in line for honorary degrees from Stirling, including former MP Tam Dalyell, businessman Sir Bill Gammell and dementia campaigner Frank Hitchman.
