Poor response to incident appeal
Tayside Police sign
Officers have expressed disappointment at the public response
Detectives investigating an attempted armed robbery in Dundee have expressed their disappointment at a lack of witnesses coming forward.

Police said they have received "little feedback", despite it taking place on a busy city centre street.

The incident happened on Wednesday at about 1620 BST at the Cheque Centre shop, on the city's Commercial Street.

Tayside Police officers have asked anyone with information on the attempted robbery to contact them.

The robber, thought to be in his mid-30s to early 40s, pointed what was described as a small gun at shop staff and demanded cash.

However, he ran from the premises empty handed.

A police spokesman said: "Despite the incident having taken place in a busy city centre street, Tayside Police has received very little feedback from members of the public who may have been in the area around the time that the incident took place."
