Falkirk predicted to grow further
Falkirk is an area of thriving communities predicted to grow further, local councillors have said.

The claims came following projections predicting that population growth in the council area would rise to 153,744 by 2014 and 157,989 by 2024.

The most popular areas included South Alloa and Larbert, which have had new housing developments.

Falkirk Council leader David Alexander said there were many positive reasons to live in the area.

"This continuing growth in our area shows how Falkirk offers the right location to live and work, with many hundreds of new families choosing to settle here," he said.
