Pink, Primal Scream and Keane will all play in Dundee next month as part of Radio 1's Big Weekend concert.
Pink will play the event's main stage on the Sunday
The free two-day event will also feature the Sugarbabes and the Streets.
The concert, on 13 and 14 May in the city's Camperdown Park, will be performed to 30,000 people, as well as being broadcast over the weekend.
Tickets will be available from 26 April, the majority of which will be given to people living in Dundee and Scotland, and some across the UK.
Other artists featuring in the line-up are US hip-hop duo Gnarls Barkley, the first act to score a UK number one single on the strength of download sales alone, and Snow Patrol, who formed in Dundee.
Radio 1 DJ Edith Bowman said: "Again the line-up for Radio 1's Big Weekend gets stronger and stronger and shows the variety of music we play.
"I'm looking forward to seeing Snow Patrol back on their old stomping ground, Primal Scream will be quite special and I'm well excited that two of my favourite bands Bloc Party and We Are Scientists are also on the bill."
Other bands playing over the weekend will include Muse, Razorlight, Corinne Bailey Rae, Feeder and new band Orson.
Snow Patrol will be back on home turf when they play on the Saturday
A list of popular new groups, including Dirty Pretty Things, Boy Kill Boy and the Editors will also grace the stage.
Dundee Lord Provost John Letford said the anticipation around Dundee had been building since the city was confirmed as the venue.
"This will be a tremendous weekend for both Dundee and Radio 1, and the city will be the focus of massive national attention," he said.
"There will be important spin-off benefits for the city and its vibrant music scene and the legacy of this event will have a positive impact for years to come."
A total of 15,000 tickets will be available for each day from the Radio 1 website and successful applicants are allowed a pair of tickets for either Saturday or Sunday.
