Man fined 1,000 for teenage party sex video

A man has admitted using his phone to film a 19-year-old man having sex with a 15-year-old girl at a party and then sending the video to others.

Lindsay Dalgliesh, 21, of Queensway, Annan, admitted a breach of the peace in his home town last September.

Dumfries Sheriff Court heard the girl's father had found out what happened and reported it to police.

Sheriff Kenneth Ross said it was "completely unacceptable" behaviour and fined Dalgliesh £1,000.

Depute fiscal Bob Morrison told the court Dalgliesh recorded the video after the 19-year-old and the girl had ended up in a bedroom.

He added that although the mobile phone had not been recovered, the video had been seen on other phones.

Solicitor Gavin Orr, representing Dalgliesh, said it had all taken place at a drunken party and his client had thought at the time he was being funny and was not aware of the girl's age.

He said Dalgliesh did not remember transmitting the video, but he regretted doing so and the embarrassment he had caused the girl.
