Borders turbine probe resumes after two-year break

An inquiry into a wind farm scheme in the Borders is resuming after a break of more than two years.

The hearing into the 48-turbine Fallago Rig project in the Lammermuir Hills first got under way in February 2008.

Six days have now been set aside to complete the evidence about the North British Windpower Ltd development.

The Scottish government agreed to the move after the Ministry of Defence withdrew its objections to the Berwickshire turbines.

The inquiry is being held at the Volunteer Hall in Duns.
