Two wards at the hospital have been shut due to the sickness bug

Two wards at Borders General Hospital have been closed to new admissions following a suspected outbreak of the winter vomiting bug.

Staff have been working with the hospital's infection control team to contain the outbreak.

NHS Borders has urged all visitors and staff to observe strict hand hygiene to stop the spread of the bug.
