Missing man found safe and well

Police have confirmed that a man missing from his south of Scotland home since the weekend has been found safe and well.

Craig Smith, 23, had last been seen as he left his house in Hallmeadow Place, Annan, early on Sunday evening.

It prompted police to issue a detailed description as they stepped up their efforts to trace him.

A police spokesman confirmed that Mr Smith had been found in the Annan area on Wednesday evening.
