River watches follow heavy rain

Flood watches have been put in place across parts of Scotland following heavy rainfall.

The Scottish Environment Protection Agency is monitoring water levels in the Borders, west central Scotland and rivers in Argyll and Stirling areas.

The Teviot Water and Liddel Water in the Borders are being closely checked as rivers rise rapidly.

An all clear has been issued for Dumfries and Galloway, which suffered flooding in many parts last week.
