Man killed in one vehicle crash

A man has been killed in a one-vehicle car crash in Dumfries and Galloway late on Saturday night.

The man was named by police as Jai Jolly, from Calgow Farm, Newton Stewart.

The accident happened on the A75 near to Newton Stewart and the road was closed for several hours while officers examined the scene.

A spokesman for Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary said a report was being prepared for the procurator fiscal.
