Williamson was found guilty after a trial at Jedburgh Sheriff Court

A Jedburgh man has been jailed for 22 months after being found guilty of threatening to shoot a shop owner.
David Williamson, 44, from Bongate View, had targeted newsagent Carol Walker after he claimed she had spread rumours about him drug dealing.
Last month Williamson was found guilty of four counts of breach of the peace.
Sheriff Janys Scott told Williamson at Jedburgh Sheriff Court he would serve his sentence along with the rest of an unexpired previous custodial sentence.
Jedburgh Sheriff Court had heard how on 30 January this year Williamson had threatened to take a gun into the newsagent's.
He was then involved in a six-hour stand-off with police at his home in which he urged armed officers to shoot him.
The court also heard that he telephoned taxi firm owner Brian Tilbrook, with whom he was in dispute over a £400 debt, and threatened him, as well as threatening to shoot and assault his children.
Williamson had denied all the charges, claiming the Crown had no corroboration and that he was suicidal on the day of the offences.
