Edinburgh Sheriff Court
The preliminary hearing is scheduled to be held in Edinburgh

A preliminary hearing is set to take place in Edinburgh into the death of a Hawick man in a private hospital.

Kieran Nichol, 20, was an in-patient at Castle Craig residential hospital near West Linton in the Borders when he died in December 2005.

It is alleged he was given a lethal dose of heroin substitute methadone despite not being an addict.

A hearing will take place at Edinburgh Sheriff Court with the full fatal accident inquiry fixed for 18 November.
