Comedian Patrick Kielty will face a speeding charge in court next month.

The Northern Irish television presenter is accused of driving at 101mph in the south of Scotland on 27 December.

Kielty, 37, who has fronted Fame Academy and Love Island, was stopped by police on the A75 Gretna to Stranraer road in Dumfries and Galloway.

The case against Kielty, from Dundrum, Co Down, was due to call at Stranraer Sheriff Court but an official said the hearing had been put back to 22 April.

Kielty, who was not in court, is expected to make a plea on that date.
