Bus strike called off after talks
Strike action being threatened by bus drivers in the Scottish Borders has been called off.

Employees of FirstBus in the region had planned a series of one-day walkouts, starting on Monday.

They were upset over moves to change shift patterns and at being paid a lower hourly rate than their FirstBus counterparts in Edinburgh.

However, the company said a revised offer had now been tabled which would be considered by the drivers.
