Drugs firm seeks US breakthrough

A Borders pharmaceutical company has unveiled detailed plans to break into the American market.

ProStrakan - based in Galashiels - has announced a deal with US firm NovaQuest to sell three products, all awaiting final approval across the Atlantic.

In return for share options and royalties the US company will fund a $10m marketing drive.

The deal will also see a 75-strong sales team set up to promote ProStrakan's products.
