Construction work on a new £16.5m leisure centre for Dumfries is "in its final stages".
The leisure centre complex is nearing completion
The DG One complex was supposed to open in September but a delay has forced the projected opening date back to late November.
A meeting of councillors is set to receive a full update on the project later this week.
A statement from the authority confirmed that the flagship centre works remained within budget.
Les Jardine, corporate director of Dumfries and Galloway Council, said the works were progressing well.
"The construction and fitting out of the building is now well advanced and it's clear that the facility will be a very impressive addition to the attractions which this area can offer," he said.
"We are already planning events and activities for the first few months of DG One following its opening and in the lead up to the opening date there will be a full programme of information to keep the public informed."
