Community wind farm moves ahead
Plans for a wind farm on common good land in Selkirk are set to progress after a public meeting in the town.

A majority vote opted to progress to a second feasibility stage on the community project.

The scheme would see three or four turbines built in the area with the electricity produced being sold to the national grid.

However, opponents have formed an action group to fight the proposal for the Borders town.
