Major drugs seizure made on M74

Dumfries and Galloway police have seized cannabis worth £150,000 from a car on the M74 motorway.

The drugs were found when the vehicle was pulled over for what has been described as a routine traffic stop near Lockerbie on Tuesday.

A police spokesman said they were "very satisfied" with what he described as a "significant capture".

A 42-year-old man from outside Dumfries and Galloway is being reported to the procurator fiscal.
