Girl on attempted murder charge
A 15-year-old girl has appeared in private at Jedburgh Sheriff Court in the Scottish Borders on a charge of attempted murder.

The teenager, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, is accused of stabbing a 28-year-old man in the Riddell Dumble Park area of Galashiels.

She made no plea or declaration during her brief appearance before Sheriff Kevin Drummond.

The teenager was fully committed and remanded in custody.
