The mobile cinema will cater for communities across southern Scotland

A new mobile cinema will take films to audiences in remote parts of the south of Scotland.
The Screen Machine is a large articulated lorry which opens out into an auditorium seating 100 people.
Culture Minister Patricia Ferguson is to pledge £500,000 to Scottish Screen to buy the mobile machine to serve Dumfries and Galloway and the Borders.
Two mobile cinemas have already taken film to remote communities in the Highlands and Islands.
Scottish Screen chief executive Ken Hay said it would give more people access to the cinema experience.
The purchase of the new mobile cinema is part of Scottish Screen's wider cinema exhibition strategy to be launched on Wednesday.
