Police have been worried by the number of uninsured motorists
Police have raised fears about the number of motorists driving without insurance in Dumfries and Galloway.

A total of 24 people were caught during the month of December and they all had their vehicles seized.

As well as facing penalty points, the motorists must also pay a fine to have their cars returned.

Pc Martin Grassom said it was deplorable that so many motorists drove without insurance especially after a recent spate of road deaths.
