Approval has been given to 14 projects in the region
Health officials have agreed to invest almost 500,000 in a major upgrade of NHS computer information systems in Dumfries and Galloway.

The cash will be used to enhance electronic programmes used to store and transmit patient data.

A total of 14 e-health projects have been given the go-ahead in a bid to improve services and reduce hospital waiting times.

It is part of a year-long 20m capital investment programme.
