Dumfries flooding
A warning has gone out of the risk of flooding in the region
A major flood alert has been issued in Dumfries and Galloway with further heavy rainfall expected.

Forecasters said about 40mm of rain was likely to fall across south west Scotland over the next two days coupled with strong to gale force winds.

Motorists have also been urged to take extra care in extremely difficult driving conditions.

A number of rivers are already at high levels after significant rainfall during the month of November.
