Plans have been lodged with Scottish Borders Council to build houses at a former mill site in Hawick.
Clan Estates wants to construct the homes at the derelict John Laing site at Slitrig Crescent in the town.
The outline application is to build a total of 79 detached, semi-detached and apartment properties.
The 175-year-old textile company went into receivership earlier this year with the loss of almost all the 95 jobs at the Hawick plant.
A Dawson International buyout subsequently took over the stock, order book, label name and a handful of staff - but not the premises.
