Veteran's wife taken to hospital
The wife of a south of Scotland war veteran is in hospital in Malaysia after taking seriously ill.

Nancy Roberts from Dalbeattie became unwell during a visit to mark the 50th anniversary of the Malayan Emergency.

She was with her husband Jim, and others, who served with the King's Own Scottish Borders during the conflict, known as the forgotten war.

She is being treated for suspected pneumonia. One of the couple's five children has flown out to Malaysia.
