Motorist killed in A75 accident
Collin crash
Part of the road was sealed off during the investigation
A 63-year-old man from the Moniaive area has died in a road crash on the A75 four miles east of Collin.

He was driving a Landrover 90 Defender towing a trailer when the single vehicle accident took place at about 1330 BST on Thursday.

It was the fourth fatality on the stretch of road in six weeks.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward, in particular the occupants of a white van which stopped at the scene.

The dead man's front seat passenger - a 54-year-old man from Thornhill - suffered minor injuries in the incident.
