The 193rd Border Union Show in Kelso attracted an estimated 20,000 visitors to its showground this year.

As well as the traditional livestock judging there was a whole host of other entertainment on offer at Springwood Park on Friday and Saturday.

The RAF Falcons parachute team, Royal Signals circus aerobatics group and sheepdog trials were among the attractions at the two-day event.

Large crowds attended both days of the show which started back in 1813.

"It was an excellent show," said secretary Ron Wilson.

"We are really building the Friday up which used to be mainly a horse day.

"We always reckon on round about 4,000 on the Friday but this time it was over 5,000," he added.

An estimated 15,000 people enjoyed Saturday's proceedings, which was also about 2,000 more than expected.
