Local fears over shipyard threat

Unions have demanded action to save two naval shipyards after a memo revealed plans that could see them close when aircraft carrier work ends in 2014. The leaked document came from BVT, which owns yards at Govan and Scotstoun in Glasgow.

Local people in Govan said the area depends on the shipyards for employment.
