Call for class size legislation
A Scottish council has said that a legal loophole is preventing it from keeping class numbers down. Edinburgh City Council's education convenor, Councillor Marilyne MacLaren, has called for the Scottish Government to bring in legislation to enforce its pledge to limit primary classes to a maximum of 25 pupils.
