Kaylee McIntosh drowned after a boat upturned on Loch Carnan
Further areas of inquiry have emerged in the investigation into the death of an Aberdeenshire army cadet, the Crown Office has confirmed.
Kaylee McIntosh, 14, from Fyvie, drowned after becoming trapped under a boat during a training exercise in Loch Carnan in the Outer Hebrides in 2007.
A fatal accident inquiry found a catalogue of failures had contributed to her death.
Northern Constabulary and the Health and Safety Executive are investigating.
Kaylee had been under the boat for 90 minutes before she was noticed missing.
She had been wearing the wrong type of life jacket, which resulted in her being pinned beneath the boat.
The inquiry found that a number of precautions could have been taken which would have avoided the accident or prevented Kaylee's death.
A Crown Office spokeswoman said: "Since the case has been taken over by health and safety division, further areas for inquiry have been identified and a joint investigation by Northern Constabulary and the Health and Safety Executive is ongoing."
