NorthLink's new Northern Isles freight vessel named

Hildasay
Hildasay was named by 12-year-old Sophie Wishart

NorthLink's new freight vessel has been named on Shetland, with the help of a 12-year-old schoolgirl.

Hildasay - named after a local island - replaces the Hascosay which has served the Northern Isles for almost eight years.

Sophie Wishart, a pupil at Sandwick Junior High School, won a competition to name the vessel, and took centre stage at the naming ceremony.

The departing Hascosay is due to become a livestock transportation vessel.
