Diver's body recovered from wreck

The remains of a diver have been recovered from a wreck in Scapa Flow in Orkney.

Northern Constabulary said on Tuesday that the remains of the man had been discovered on Monday.

A post-mortem examination is due take place in Inverness and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal in Kirkwall.

The area is a popular location for divers to explore the remains of the scuttled WWI German grand fleet.

Police said it was too early to say whether the body could be that of a missing Dutch diver.

Martin Voordouw, 40, had been exploring a sunken battleship in Scapa Flow in 2007.
