More than 1,000 people "slept out" for the night in a bid to raise money for a homeless charity in Aberdeen.

Community groups and individuals spent the night sleeping inside the arena in the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre or its car park.

Local bands and DJs took part in the event which was expected to raise about £30,000 for the Aberdeen Cyrenians.

Since the "sleepout" began 19 years ago it has raised about £350,000 for the charity.
