Police probe 'suspicious' blaze

Several residents were evacuated from their flats after a fire at a nearby vacant building in Fraserburgh.

Grampian Police said they were treating the blaze in a lane off Albert Street as suspicious.

The alarm was raised by members of the public at 0625 GMT on Saturday, and the building was well alight when fire crews arrived on the scene.

The flames were quickly brought under control and the building has been sealed off.
