Pedestrian hurt in car collision

A man was taken to hospital after being struck by a car in Elgin.

The accident happened in the Moray town's Main Street, close to Lossiemouth Road and the Buccaneer Garage, at about 1530 GMT.

A Grampian Police spokesperson said the injured man was believed to be in his 40s.

The Scottish Ambulance Service said the pedestrian was taken to Dr Gray's Hospital in Elgin. His injuries were not believed to be serious.
