The dolphin rescue was launched at Scapa
A rescue effort to save a dolphin that beached itself in Orkney appears to have been a success. The adult white-sided Atlantic dolphin came ashore on Wednesday morning on Scapa Beach just outside Kirkwall. It had been successfully helped out to sea - but turned around and beached itself again. It was manhandled off the beach both times by a team of volunteers and appeared to have finally found its way out to sea. Do you have pictures - still or moving - of the rescue effort? Send them to the BBC news website Click hereto send an email. If you want to send your picture from your mobile phone, email them to newsonlinescotland@bbc.co.uk.
