A dead sperm whale found on an Aberdeenshire beach has been moved to a local landfill site.

The 30ft-long mammal, which weighed about 25 tonnes, was discovered at Balmedie Beach on Friday.

There were claims of people attempting to remove its teeth. Aberdeen Coastguard had been alerted to the whale on Friday afternoon.
