Appeal on grave stones vandalism

Police have appealed for information after 19 grave stones were knocked over in a Moray cemetery.

The vandalism happened in Hillhead Cemetery in Portknockie overnight between Thursday and Friday.

Grampian Police said the grave stones appeared to have been picked at random and were confined to one area of the cemetery.

A spokesperson said: "This crime is particularly distressing for the families concerned."
