EU fish quotas threaten industry

Fishing leaders are to tell Scotland's Fisheries Secretary Richard Lochhead that catch limits and low prices are stifling the industry.

Many skippers have exhausted their annual fishing quota more than two months early, leaving them without a job until the 2010 quotas in January.

Industry representative say EU rules are pushing the next generation out of the industry and are calling on Mr Lochhead to take action.
