Scottish comedian Frankie Boyle has created a new record after a date in Aberdeen sold out in just 18 minutes.

The extra date, for Aberdeen's Music Hall, had been added after a previous show sold out.

The controversial star of BBC 2's Mock the Week will be in the city in April next year.

Aberdeen Performing Arts press manager Joyce Summers said: "The tickets went on sale at 9.30am and were gone by 9.50am. We were amazed."
