Curtain down on Evita room search

An appeal for accommodation for the cast of Evita due to a shortage in Aberdeen has seen an "overwhelming" response.

The show's run at His Majesty's Theatre in September coincides with the major Offshore Europe event in the city.

The BBC Scotland news website told on Friday of the search for rooms for about 30 of the cast.

The song and dance is now over after the theatre company had over 100 offers of help.

Aberdeen Performing Arts press manager Joyce Summers said: "The response has just been overwhelming. Some people have been amazingly kind."
