Worker lost from platform named

A man whose body was recovered after he went missing from a North Sea oil platform has been named.

The body of James Piggott, 56, from Inverness, was recovered from the sea on Friday after he was reported missing from Shell's Brent Delta platform.

The incident about 117 miles north east of Shetland sparked a major search.

Grampian Police said his death was not being treated as suspicious and that a report would be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Mr Piggott worked for Wood Group.
