Police appeal after trees felled

Police have appealed for information after 20 trees were illegally chopped down on an estate in Moray.

The trees were felled on the Mayne Estate in Elgin sometime between Thursday and Sunday.

Grampian Police said the area has recently been used used by youths as a hiding place to drink alcohol.

Pc Mike Mulloy said anyone felling trees without the necessary experience posed a danger to themselves and anyone else nearby.
