Two reported for school vandalism

Smithfield School
Smithfield Primary in Aberdeen was targeted by vandals

Two boys have been charged after an Aberdeen primary school was badly vandalised.

The pair - aged 12 and 16 - have been reported over two incidents at Smithfield Primary School.

More than 50 windows were broken and a classroom was extensively damaged between Friday and Monday at the school in Clarke Street.

Grampian Police said the public had helped with inquiries and added such vandalism would not be tolerated.

Police had described the incidents as "mindless" when they appealed for information.
